In my last post I referenced the “cohesive community”. So, are we a cohesive community today? In talking with folks over the last few months, there are a variety of answers to this question. There are the “absolutely we are” folks. There are those that think there is Wendell and then there is Wendell Falls. Others see it as those who live in the Town and those that don’t live in the Town, but that are impacted by Town decisions. And then there are those that see an Old Wendell and a New Wendell. Regardless of which camp you think you might be in, it is essential that you elect town commissioners that not only recognize these differing perspectives, but respect them and ensure that policies, projects, and programs take the cohesive community into account. There will always be differing perspectives, however each and every one of us has a role in ensuring Wendell is a cohesive community. I thank you for your support on November 7th.
